Alfa Romeo 155 Touring car
built by Alfa corse for the British Touring car championship and raced by Tarquini in 94.The car was then used for promotional purposes and then put in storage by Alfa GB.It was then purchased by Chris Snowdon of CSR in the late 90s as a rolling chassis who in turn sold the car to myself.It was then taken to Dave Ashford of Brunswick Motorsport of Cambridge and was the subject of a two year rebuild.
Spec includes
Full race Alfa Q4 turbocharged engine just rebuilt with 0 hours race use,fully lightened and balanced with race cams,gas flowed head,forged pistons,steel conrods,etc.Omex programmable engine management.Water injection and large intercooler.Producing @300bhp on a relatively low boost.
Bacci race gearbox straight cut gears with a bacci LSD. Also just rebuilt with 0 hours with new ratios (as I found it was running out of revs on some of the longer straights) and a Bacci shift kit which is a work of art.
The chassis is as factory built and as you would expect from Alfa is of a very high standard and rumoured to have been developed by Alfa at a cost of £100,000 plus.Including very special suspension,Huge breakes that barely fit inside 18\" speedline centre lock wheels, fabricated roll cage plus many other little attentions to detail including light weight panels and glass it also comes in the original paintwork and liverie
Being only 940kgs it is an exremely fast car and handles like a dream.This car was raced by myself in the Alfa Romeo challenge and should be a winner in this championship in the right hands it is also eligible for many other race series or could be for a collector as this car wouldnt look out of place in a museum.
I am only selling as I have immigrated to Australia and have set a low reserve at a fraction of its build cost.Please remember you are bidding to buy not to look.I would recomend viewing as with most race cars there are the odd little imperfections though on the whole it is a beautiful car to look at and is race ready.The car is currently at Brunswick Motorsport in Cambs 01954 252252 please call to view.
