Gold Track provide trackdays with guaranteed track time for enthusiasts from across the trackday spectrum, from the beginner wanting their first experience of track driving, to the experienced driver in a specialised vehicle.

At all of Gold Track trackdays circuit time is allocated in half-hour sessions divided between driver groups of roughly similar ability. This means that, unlike the ‘open pit lane’ days Gold Track days offer Guaranteed track time with no frustrating pit lane queues.

As a result of these groupings experienced drivers can avoid the frustration of a track crowded with beginners. Conversely, when a novice group goes on to the circuit, they can concentrate on driving and learning, without the worry of having to move over for faster cars at every corner.

Gold Track days are run with the highest levels of circuit safety. Marshalling posts are manned, driver briefings are compulsory and medical facilities are present.

The commitment to safety and high standards of driving, starts with free initial tuition for novices. This ensures that all our customers achieve a certain minimum standard of competence before ‘going solo’.

Calum Lockie, Gold Track’s proprietor, can provide intensive one to one driver training for novices as well as seasoned racers. Calum is one of the UK’s top racing instructors and winner of both the 2000 British GT and 2003 Britcar Championships. A Porsche 968 Club Sport is used for tutoring which is renowned for its excellent road holding and balance. However clients may use their own vehicles if they prefer. When he’s not on track, Calum is always available in the paddock to answer questions and give advice to any budding Schumacher!
